I am walking through what looks like a food court of a mall. It is very busy but as I peruse I end up bumping into my crush who is without a doubt a female. As we chat, I end up walking her to her job in the mall. I end up buying something that comes in a distinct paper bag from that store. Fast forward, I'm in a dormitory of some sort getting ready to head out to the crush's birthday gathering, which happens to be at that same mall. I am fretting about trying to make my gift perfect and doubting how it's presented. A friend drops by to pick me up on the way and notices how anxious I am. They assure me that everything is fine. As I turn to leave, it dawns on me that the gift bag I've placed it in is the same bag i got from the crush's store. I decide that that is way to tacky and frantically search for another bag to put it in. I'm late but the friend stays to wait while I sift through plastic grocery bags looking for something elevated that could hold the gift. Finally, I find a nicer bag that works and stuff the gift inside. As my friend and I walk through the food court to the area where the gathering is, I can feel my nervousness rising but I'm confident that my crush will like the gift so I'm playing it cool. As we approach the table with several people already there and the birthday girl, I say hi to everyone and approach my crush with a cool calm smile as I hand her the gift and gift bag while saying happy birthday. She smiles back and opens it right then and there. Her reaction is warm as she opens it and thanks me for it and recognizes the small but thoughtful gift.
